Application Requirements

Minimum 2 years of teaching or professional experience in your subject area

Valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar / PAN / Passport)

Degree, diploma, or professional certification relevant to your subject

Complete a 15-minute demo session reviewed by our quality team

Pass a background verification (required for Guides who teach learners ages 13–17)

Commit to seeing active student programs through to completion — this is not a one-session platform

Agree to the SkillMonster Guide Code of Conduct

Once approved, Guides are held to ongoing performance metrics to maintain platform quality.

Rating ≥ 4.0

Maintain a minimum average rating across all reviews

Response < 24h

Respond to booking requests within 24 hours

Cancellation < 10%

Keep session cancellation rate below 10%

Treat all learners with respect, regardless of background or skill level

Be punctual — join sessions on time and notify learners promptly of any changes

Deliver what you promise — match your profile description and session content

Maintain professional boundaries at all times

Do not solicit learners for off-platform payments

Report any concerns about learner safety via our contact page

Keep your credentials and availability up to date

Give adequate notice before stepping back from the platform — we expect Guides to honor their student commitments and support a smooth transition
