How to use rank-wise college predictor data

It is a range, not a guarantee

Cut-offs shift year to year based on number of applicants, paper difficulty, and seat matrix. Use rank brackets as a starting point, not a final answer.

Fill more choices, not fewer

JoSAA and MCC give your highest available preference. Filling 25 choices instead of 5 never hurts — it only increases your chances of getting a good allotment.

Category matters significantly

OBC, SC, and ST cut-offs are significantly lower than General for the same institute. Check the official previous-year cut-off data on the counselling portal.

Confused about which college to choose for your rank?

A SkillMonster Guide with counselling expertise can help you fill choices strategically, understand branch vs college trade-offs, and navigate every round without missing a deadline.
