Application Tips
- Government MBBS seats come with inherently lower fees — the scholarship is the seat itself for many families
- NSP scholarships require renewal every year — set a calendar reminder for September each year
- State scholarship portals (e.g., Swayam, AP e-Pass, Maharashtra Mahadbt) are separate from NSP — check both
- Private foundation scholarships are highly competitive — apply early and have a strong essay prepared
- Income certificate must be issued by a Tahsildar or competent authority — get it renewed yearly

- AIIMS has zero tuition fee — hostel and meals are heavily subsidised
- JIPMER is also a central government institution with low fees
