Preparation strategy

1Aim for 145+/160 — the exam has no negative marking and many questions are straightforward, so every dropped mark directly costs rank.
2Mathematics carries 80/160 marks — scoring 75+ in Mathematics alone puts you in the top percentile.
3Telangana Intermediate textbooks are the exact source of questions; do not over-rely on JEE prep materials.
4Speed matters: 3 hours for 160 questions means roughly 1 minute per question — practice timed papers.
5Board marks (25% weightage) mean you cannot neglect Intermediate examinations for EAMCET rank.
6Target Chemistry for maximum quick gains — most questions are direct formula or definition-based.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get admission to Telangana colleges with JEE Main rank?

Yes. Telangana has a separate quota (typically 15% of seats) for JEE Main rank holders under NRI/Management/JEE quota. However, the TS EAMCET state quota (85% of seats) is only accessible through EAMCET rank.

What is the difference between TS EAMCET and AP EAMCET?

Both are separate exams conducted by their respective states after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. TS EAMCET is for Telangana domicile students; AP EAMCET is for Andhra Pradesh students. Students cannot use TS EAMCET rank for AP colleges or vice versa.
