Milestone Checklist

  • Week 4: Mechanics + Organic Basics + Algebra complete; first self-test
  • Week 8: Thermal, Waves, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry I complete
  • Week 12: Full syllabus coverage complete — begin revision cycle
  • Week 16: Revision Cycle I done; mock test rank tracking begins
  • Week 20: 5 years of PYQs completed; weak areas identified and drilled
  • Week 24: Exam day — 12+ full mocks done, formula sheets memorised

Do These

  • Solve at least 20 problems per subject per day
  • Take a full-length mock test every week from Month 4 onwards
  • Maintain an error log — analyse every wrong answer
  • Revise each topic within 3 days of first study (spaced repetition)
  • Take one day off per week for rest and light revision only

Avoid These

  • Don't start new topics in the last 4 weeks before the exam
  • Don't skip mock tests — they are the single most important practice tool
  • Don't ignore NCERT — JEE Main directly lifts questions from NCERT text
  • Don't study all three subjects every day in early months — depth over breadth
  • Don't compare your progress with others — focus on your own error log
